Wire-feeding machine
Scope of Application
The wire-feeding machine is designed for feeding flux cored wire, aluminium rod wire, and monocalcium wire into molten metal.
Scope of application: out-of-furnace processing of metals, alloys, and iron in ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, deoxidation, alloying, modification, desulphuration, etc.
Advantages of SME Vulkan-TM wire-feeding machines
SME Vulkan-TM wire-feeding machines can be used for feeding flux cored wire, aluminium rod wire, and monocalcium wire.
The main distinguishing feature of SME Vulkan-TM wire-feeding machines is a well-arranged wire loading system and a device synchronizing the wire coil unreeling (unreeling device) with the wire feeding machine operating cycles.
Besides, SME Vulkan-TM wire-feeding machines:
- Make it possible to achieve flux cored wire economy (up to 15%) thanks to feeding wire to certain areas of the ladle, improving solubility of the wire components throughout the entire volume. This method of feeding chemical agents and the devices implementing it constitute the main feature distinguishing our product from its foreign competitors;
- Permit to program modes of wire feeding, holding and rollback after ladle infeed (24 programming lines) and also to save machine operation data in memory with the subsequent transmission of data to a computer;
- Make it possible to control the fed wire length and alarm the wire coil ending;
- Provide a possibility of feeding wire from different technology levels and to various ladle areas, as compact as possible;
- Take into consideration the specifics of feeding wire to small and medium capacity ladles: Ensure steady operation at low speeds or discrete feeding at large (maximum) speeds;
- Prevent wire from breaking or twisting and the lock and shell from opening using an unreeling device (picking the wire from the external loop);
- Are compatible with any plant integrated control systems, including those based on Siemens control systems;
- Are adapted to different operating conditions, can operate in a wide range of temperatures (from -20 to +80), under high tropical humidity and at supply voltage ranging from 170 V to 528 V;
- Have a separate control cabinet which can be installed at the distance up to 100 m from the unit;
- The discharge channel of the wire feeding device is collapsible and has an additional guide, with a possibility of bending the exiting wire at the angle of up to 90°
