Calcined alumina
Scope and purpose
Calcined alumina is used both in the production of molded and unformed refractories. Depending on the size of particles and crystals, they perform different functions.

Benefits:
- improve the refractoriness of the final product and service qualities as a whole through the use of cleaner raw materials and an increased content of alumina;
- increase mechanical strength and wear resistance due to optimal particle packing and the introduction of alumina into the finely ground part;
- when interacting with a binder, a matrix phase is formed having high refractoriness and heat resistance.
