Scope of Application

Slide gates of steel casting ladles are a part of stopless steel and alloys casting systems (SSC) and are designed for steel casting from ladles in foundries.

Gates for foundries are distinguished by compact design making it possible to use them with small and medium capacity ladles for casting into ingots and moulds.

Slide Gates for Foundries Made by SME Vulkan-TM

For slide gate casting of steel, SME Vulkan-TM developed modern linear-type VT-30 slide gates, which are best adapted for the foundry production environment.

VT-30 gates have a customized improved system of refractory plate preload and the minimum size possible. For convenient slide maintenance, a ladle can be provided with various opening options, both for the movable carriage and for the protective screen.

Besides, they have all the advantages of medium and large gates made by SME Vulkan-TM for metallurgical plants.

Gates used in metallurgy can be used for large-capacity casting ladles.
